Last month, a heavy engineering logistics company in Tanzania contacted us and ordered a 4-axle gooseneck lowbed semi-trailer with hydraulic ladder installed. Currently, this low flatbed semi-trailer has entered the final stage of production and will soon be transported to the port for shipment.
The customer said that there were many problems with the three-axis flatbed truck he used before when pulling excavators and bulldozers. The ordinary flat chassis is high, and after the equipment is installed, the center of gravity of the whole vehicle is high. When running on bumpy roads, the body shakes violently, and the driver dare not drive fast. Moreover, when installing large machinery such as a three-axis flatbed semi-trailer excavator, there is almost no margin on both sides, and a slight deviation during loading and unloading may scratch the wheel hub. After replacing with a goose neck low platform, the height of the bearing surface from the ground has been reduced to about 950 millimeters, the center of gravity has been lowered, and running is much more stable. The platform is just enough to accommodate medium-sized excavators and bulldozers, leaving room on both sides, and loading and unloading are much more relaxed.

The main beam of this 4-axle goose neck lowbed semi-trailer is made of HG60 high-strength steel, and the side beams are designed in an H-shape, with high yield strength and strong impact resistance. The main beam adopts submerged arc welding technology, which improves the bearing capacity and can meet the bearing requirements of harsh road conditions. The platform surface is paved with 8mm thick wear-resistant patterned steel plate, and the suspension adopts a four axis series heavy mechanical spring suspension. Many mining areas and construction sites in Tanzania have harsh road conditions and high dust, and the airbags of air suspension are prone to problems in this environment. The reliability of mechanical springs is much higher.
The hydraulic ladder equipped on this semi-trailer has also been reinforced with anti slip patterns on the ladder surface. The ladder cylinder is equipped with dual hydraulic locks and synchronous valves. In case the oil pipe bursts, the ladder will slowly fall back instead of directly hitting the ground. The lifting speed of the oil cylinders on both sides remains consistent, and the ladder will not twist and move sideways.
When we synchronized the progress with the customer during production, he said he was very satisfied with the configuration of this 4-axle gooseneck lowbed semi-trailer and would put it into use as soon as it arrived.
