Last month, a Seychelles engineering logistics company contacted us and ordered a 3-axle gooseneck lowbed semi-trailer. The buyer mainly undertakes the transportation of engineering machinery within Seychelles. The boss has been in the transportation business in Seychelles for more than ten years and used flatbed trucks to handle equipment. This year, they signed equipment handling contracts for two new projects and felt it was time to switch to a specialized truck for transporting engineering machinery.

Mahe Island is the largest island in Seychelles, with the capital Victoria and the only commercial port Victoria Harbour located on this island. At the same time, the road on Mahe Island Mountain is narrow and steep, with sharp turns everywhere. The coastal road is undulating and has many bends, which requires high stability and tolerance for trailer rollover.
The design of the goose neck of this 3-axle goose neck lowbed semi-trailer can lower the main cargo platform to below 1 meter, making it more stable to run with a lower center of gravity and greatly reducing the risk of rollover during heavy transportation. The cargo platform is covered with anti slip patterned steel plates, which provide sufficient friction. Whether it is loading and unloading equipment or long-distance travel, there is no need to worry about the machine slipping and shifting, and transportation safety is more guaranteed.

Seychelles has a small land area, and the distance from Victoria Harbour to various parts of Mahe Island is mostly within 20-30 kilometers. It is more cost-effective to use a 3-axle gooseneck lowbed semi-trailer for short distance routes. All three axles are 13 ton heavy-duty drum axles, with dual tires installed on each axle. There are a total of 12 tires, which are 12.00R20 steel wire tires. The suspension is a heavy-duty mechanical spring suspension, with 5 thick spring plates per bridge. The customer specifically requested mechanical springs instead of air suspension, considering the humid and hot climate in Seychelles, where air suspension airbags age quickly. Mechanical springs are much more reliable. The climbing ladder has been reinforced with a design that allows tracked equipment and wheeled construction machinery to be driven up and down on their own, without the need for additional cranes for loading and unloading.

When shipped, this 3-axle goose neck lowbed semi-trailer was carefully packaged and rust proofed at the factory. Key parts were coated with rust proof oil and tightly wrapped with rainproof cloth to prevent salt spray corrosion at sea.
The customer is quite satisfied with this 3-axle goose neck lowbed trailer. They mentioned that they will first run and run it in. If the follow-up projects of the Mahe Island comprehensive development plan continue, they may order another 4-axle low flatbed trailer next year to specifically pull larger lifting equipment.
